## API Gotchas

* **Rate Limiting:** Smartrr enforces API rate limits. Monitor for 429 status codes and implement exponential backoff to handle rate limit errors gracefully.

* **Authentication Tokens:** Securely store and manage authentication tokens. Implement token refresh logic for OAuth-based integrations to maintain continuous access.

* **Data Format Requirements:** Pay attention to required fields, data types, and format constraints when creating or updating records in Smartrr.
